AN unidentified woman last week was rushed to Ughelli Central Hospital for urgent medical attention after her self ceasearean was not successful.
The unidentified pregnant woman was last Thursday rushed to the Accident & Emergency Unit of the Ughelli Central Hospital for quick medical assistance.
Though the report was sketchy, it was learned that the pregnant woman in her 30s suspectedly used a razor blade to cut her diaphragm in other to get rid of her unborn baby last Thursday.
As that was not successful,she used the same razor blade to nearly slice open her abdomen for the baby to come out of her womb.
She was was rushed to A&E last Thursday and after she was stitched, she was referred to an unknown hospital for proper medical treatment.” A source revealed.
In a related development, another pregnant woman whose identity could not be ascertained was rushed to Ughelli Central Hospital after she was reported to has drank hypo
The cause of her drinking the hypo was not know as she was seen being held by two women that assisted her to the hospital.
S”he got to the hospital,she was referred to Sheriff free medical services center as the nurses in duty thought she was under labour.
“It was at the Sheriff free medical services for pregnant women, it was revealed that she drank hypo. A source from the hospital disclosed.
Effort to contact the Zonal Medical Director, was not successful as her number was not connecting before filing this report.
As at the time of this report, it could not be ascertained if she was referred to another hospital for medical attention.
